FLAMINGO OFFICE SPACE
Singapore
Brief
This Market Research company was moved into a traditional shop house space and felt that they needed to liven up their interior and put a contemporary spin on it to distance itself from the traditional “stuffy” office space.
Result
We removed all of the carpets and used the exposed concrete and old timber underneath to create unique spaces and liven up the office. Breakout spaces with relaxed seating, pops of colour and chalkboard walls helped to give this old office a contemporary feel. We turned traditional solitary desk spaces into communal work areas, allowing the employees to communicate more effectively. We used the traditional light-well within the shophouse to display pendent lighting. Cultural photography taken by employees of the markets they researched in were turned into artworks on cushions and walls. Standout marquee lights lit up the narrow staircase to add glamour to floor level indications.
